Two more months till spring-but who's counting?!! I sure am, as I'm adding new key pieces to my wardrobe to make it spring ready! Shoes are an essential item that can really define the whole look and can make a certain outfit stand out after all the say it all ends with the shoes!
Chic Wedge Heels-Wedge heels can be worn any time of year but are really popular during the summer months. Wedge heels look simply stunning when paired with a dress or skirt and blouse. It also looks fabulous with silk pants and linen trousers. You can also go for more of an edgy look if you pair wedge heels with any style of denim jeans and a chic military, tuxedo or cropped jacket. This shoe choice is perfect to wear with this spring season's go-to jean the wide leg.
Strappy Heels/Sandals-This trend is nothing but boring! With so many of our favorite designers making them more creative and interesting, it sure will amp up your daytime time denim look and add ultra sexiness to your night time look!
Wooden Chunky Heels/Platforms-This is yet another key shoe trend that gives a nod to the 70's. Try this obsessed trend with a white day time dress and cat eye sunglasses-very chic ensemble! More casual look- denim shorts and a loose pocket tee. You can even try this trend now with some thick wooly tights!
Cut-out dresses have been seen on all the celebs sporting the cut-outs on the front and sides of the dress. But I'm loving the newer style which is the neckline cut-out. These are the most popular party dresses right now. It adds a little hint of sexniess without the sleaze. They say that less is more. Coco Chanel once said when she advised taking off one accessory before walking out the door.
When working this look I suggest keeping the rest of the ensemble very low key and of course use your common sense when choosing this party dress..avoid this style dress for a daytime event or in a conservative setting. When worn, it's a perfect way to show a little skin in a subtle sexy way without ruining your classy reputation!
I adore Stuart Weitzman's boots and have forever loved his casual flat leather and suede OTK(Over The Knee)boot he calls the 50/50 boot. But at $595, I let a dream remain a dream! I'm mostly in heels or heeled boots but these flat OTK boots always tickled my fashion senses! I just love love the cutaway top and it's hard finding that feature on any other boot without spending a fortune, well that's what I thought until today! At my local Daffy's I was browsing with no intent to buy(ha, is that possible?!) and I found an exact look-a-like! They were $49.99 with the same lovely cutaway top that I adore-ultra comfy and great quality in my opinion! The brand is Wanted-so trend-a-nistas literally run to Daffy's because these OTK flat boots are as close to Stuart Weitzman's 50/50 boot as you can get!

I feel a great wardrobe should not only contain the most important essentials but also tons of accessories! This Spring/Summer 2011 there are 4 hot trends that have been seen on the runways from Paris to the states and I'm so excited to wear them! Luckily, I live closeby the trendiest accessory store that I can count on to buy all these new goodies-PINK JEWELS!PINK JEWELS ON FACEBOOK
Shoulder Length Earrings-like seen on our most stylish celebs! I suggest keeping the neckline very simple as you want to keep these beauties the main focal point!
Full Finger Rings-if you have been paying attention to Hollywood, you have probably noticed some of the most fashionable starlets have been toting around a new very noticeable trend: the full finger ring. What a fun way to add a bold and edgy touch! Cuff Bracelet- Seen all over the spring runways they were bold and featured stones, beads and other embellishments. These gorgeous cuffs are being made in leather or metal. Whats great about these is wrist cuffs work with almost any look!
Sexy chokers are back in a major way and are so different then the ones we used to wear! We found some chunky, beautifully embellished and anything but minimal! Perfectly worn with a crew neck tee, or a strapless dress, and ever more gorgeously worn with a button-up shirt.
I'm counting down the days until that warm sun is glimmering on my over sized rosegold MK watch and of course to start wearing all these juicy new 2011 spring/summer trends! I personally love to embrace the animal print trend. I feel it adds the perfect amount of sexiness to any outfit when done the right way. The most popular worn prints are zebra and leopard but the Trend Therapist is excited to report that this Spring/Summer's hottest animal pattern is Snake Print. I'm truly in heaven-I have always favored this print the most! So classy and ultra chic. Choose this animal print if you feel like perking up your wardrobe with fabulous key items as stylish tops, dresses and pumps decorated with the classy and all time favorite snake print. You can stick to the more neutral/brown tones but also the colored print can give a great punch!
With Winter still in full force, I do want to stay warm and cozy while still maintaining a very stylish look. My favorite winter go-to piece is a cozy chunky sweater cardigan, not only does it keep you warm its ultra stylish! Very a'la Vanessa Hudgens! Want to try this cozy trend? Wear with a pair of distressed or skinny jeans, knit beanie,& flat suede boots or chunky mid-calf boots with a buckle or two. The chunky sweaters can be worn with a belt around the waist for a more edgy look. It can also be worn with a skirt for more of a feminine look. Which ever way you wear it rest assured you'll be so cozy and stylish!
This is the first post of the New Year so why not let it be about the most popular 2011 fashion trend and that is the 70's! Seventies fashion makes a major comeback for this Spring 2011. With many designers looking back for vintage fashion as their source of inspiration for their collections. The old is now new again with a mod twist! Wide leg trousers are the new skinny jeans, long flowing maxi dresses are the new minis, and high-waisted pants are now taking over low-waisted pants. From the wide-leg trouser to the sexiest classic halter top, the '70s are back (again!) in a big way.
Fashion, Accessories, & Shoes were always a primary interest of mine even at a very young age I can remember the feeling of being in my mother's beautiful closet and to me it was just as exciting as being in a candy store-a very glamorous one! I always loved enhancing someone's look so I knew I was destined to be in the fashion industry but it was a matter of where I could display my talent best. Fashion is a big part of my life as most of me is all about loving fashion! Fashion was never just a job to me I was always a bonafide fashionista. I would explain my style as a chic downtown city girl with a touch of modern glam. My style icon is Sophia Loren. I don't need to tell you that she's beyond an icon! For me she is the perfect blend of European and American classic fashion with a flair all her own.
